| Short Description |
EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson announces that greenhouse gases (GHGs) threaten public health and welfare of the American people. The Agency further finds that GHG emissions fron on-road vehicles contribute to that threat. This "endangerment" finding covers emissions of six key greenhouse gases - carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons and sulfur hexafluoride. The finding opens up further actions by EPA to reduce the emissions of these pollutants.
