“Effective” programs at colleges and universities are often the best resource for achieving a strong environmental program. Resources--web pages, checklists, guidance documents, summary descriptions--from campuses across the United States are provided to visitors to the CampusERC in getting started or in comparing their program to one that has been recognized as strong and effective.
“Model Practices” are identified by the “Campus Consortium for Environmental Excellence” based on several criteria, including awards or recognition by federal or state agencies; awards or acknowledgment by an independent organization or campus association; and participation in C2E2--sponsored monthly “model practice” calls in which participants review campus programs in designated practice areas and select two to three model practices for the campusERC.
