| Short Description |
Princeton released its new campus Sustainability Plan which calls for new programs, initiatives and policies, and a commitment to reduce carbon emissions to 1990 levels by the year 2020. The plan is further incorporated in the University’s new 10-year campus plan. To reduce greenhouse gas emissions, Princeton will require all new construction to use 50 percent less energy than required by current codes. The plan, which also covers transportation, resource conservation, dining, grounds and landscaping, was developed over 18 months and involved diverse constituencies from across the campus.
