| Short Description |
After 10 weeks and brutal collegiate competition, the results are in for the winners of the 2008 RecycleMania competition. RecycleMania is a competition among colleges and universities to see which schools can collect the most recyclables over a 10-week period. Founded by two WasteWise partners in 2001, the program has been extremely successful, with the number of participants nearly doubling each year. 2008 winners included Kalamazoo College in the Whole Campus and per capita division. In the partial campus division, California State San Marcos won multiple categories. Additional winners include North Lake College, Stanford University, Stephens College, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Rhode Island School of Design, Mills College, Rutgers and Northwest State Community College.
